Other uses for a vegetable peeler:
1. If you need soft butter immediately, use the vegetable on a hard stick of butter.
2. Use a vegetable peeler to pare off thin cheese slivers or to make chocolate flakes from a chilled block of chocolate.
3. Take the rind off oranges and lemons with a peeler.
4. Use the tip of a vegetable peeler to pit cherries.
