Just on a whim I decided to whip up a cute little cupcake. I have hundreds of lids from laundry detergent bottles. I used that for the base. I added some gems for candy and a bright colored fabric cupcake cup. Ta-da!
I've had tons of birds in my yard today. They must know that warmer weather is coming. I happened to snap a pic of this cute little bluebird getting a drink.

What a yummy looking cupcake! I love your work! So cute!!!
I wanted to mention that plastic bags can be cut into one long strip by following my t-shirt yarn tutorial. It will eliminate having to join tons of small strips together if that is what you are doing. You start by cutting off the handle portion and the bottom until you have a tube and then follow the directions for the t-shirt yarn tutorial. When crocheting, if you are in need of double thickness, just hold two strips of plastic bag yarn together and crochet.
God luck with your knee surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Aloha!
